The XOSkeleton series of rods feature some of the latest and best technology being used in rod design at present. The Japanese IM8 carbon graphite rod blank has carbon yarn wrapped around it. The carbon yarn is similar to the texture of cotton wool and when wrapped around the rod, gives the rod its unique mottled look. Because the carbon yarn rod is finished without resin (it is baked in an oven), the rod is much lighter than a normal carbon rod. The main advantage is that the overall strength of the rod is increased because the transverse strength of the rod is increased because of the carbon yarn wrapping process.
The sensitivity of carbon, matched with the strength enabled with this NEW technology makes the XOSkeleton series a cutting edge piece of equipment. All rods are fitted with Fuji guides and winches.
